Mike McCarthy

McCarthy finished his career as one of the most decorated athletes in SHU baseball history.  He was a 2006 NAIA All American where he helped lead the Griffins to the NAIA World Series.  Mike was a four time All Conference selection and a two time All Region selection.  McCarthy's name is all over the Seton Hill record books.  He is first in school history in runs scored (218), hit by pitches (84) and stolen bases with 131.  Mike is second in school history in average (.384), hits (250) and doubles with 52.  In his 200 games, he has added 7 triples, 6 home runs and 114 runs batted in. 

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2009, Mike returned to Seton Hill as a baseball assistant coach where he earned his masters in 2012. Mike is currently a 4th grade teacher in the Trinity Area School District. Mike resides in the South Hills with his wife Erika, a former Seton Hill women's basketball player.
