Dontay Jacobs was one of the best ever to step onto the track for the Seton Hill track and field program.

Jacobs was a two time NCAA National Qualifier in the 400 meter dash.  Dontay was a six time USTFCCCA All Region selection.

Over his career, Jacobs was a second team All American in the 400 at the 2018 Outdoor Championships.  Dontay was a four time PSAC Indoor Champion in the 400 and two time PSAC Outdoor Champion in the 400.  He was also a part of a PSAC Outdoor and Indoor title as a member of the 4x4 relay.  Jacobs holds the PSAC Indoor record in the 400 dash with a 47.29 and holds the SHU indoor and outdoor records in the 400.

Jacobs graduated from SHU in 2019 and earned a Bachelors in Exercise Science.   Since graduating, Dontay spent time as a track and field coach at Tiffin University while completing a master's degree in healthcare administration. During his years there, he was fortunate to be part of four men's conference championships and two women's championships. After graduate school, Jacobs moved to Raleigh, NC, to start a career in clinical research and project management. He worked at Syneos Health for two years before joining BeiGene, a biotech company focused on cancer research, where he has been for the past two years. Jacobs now lives in Uniontown, PA, and continues to stay active and committed to health and fitness alongside his career.
