Alex Haines will be remembered as one of the best arms to ever pitch for the Seton Hill baseball program. 
 
Haines holds the Seton Hill career record for strikeouts with 281 and appearances with 63.  He is tied for fourth with 24 wins, fifth with a 3.65 ERA and sixth in innings pitched at 239.  He is second in single season strikeouts with 108 and posted eight wins with a 2.35 ERA in 2013. 
 
He was a two time All WVIAC First Team selection in addition to being a two time unanimous All Region selection by the ABCA, NCBWA and Daktronics.  Haines was named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Year twice over his Seton Hill career.  Alex earned CoSIDA Academic All District honors.  He was also named the top prospect in the NECBL in addition to being rated the number 1 small college draft prospect by Baseball America prior to the 2013 season.  
 
Alex was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 33rd round of the 2013 Major League Draft. 
 
Haines graduated from Seton Hill with a criminal justice degree.  Shortly after graduation, Alex began working with UPS where he has worked for the past eight years, the last seven of those as a package car driver.  Haines resides in Pleasant Unity, PA.
