Seton Hill hosted Wheeling Jesuit on Senior Night in the McKenna Center on Saturday evening.  Before the match, SHU honored its three seniors, Brett Smith, Trey Cole and Christian Bosco.  Wheeling Jesuit won six of the ten matches for a 22-14 victory.  SHU drops to 8-4 on the season.

Wheeling Jesuit won the first two matches to take a quick 6-0 lead.  Joseph Alessandro trimmed the lead to 6-5 with a dominating 18-2 tech fall victory at 141 pounds.  Ty Lydic then put the Griffins in front with a 2-1 decision victory at 149 pounds.  WJU retook the lead 9-8 with a 4-2 decision win at 157 pounds.  SHU jumped back in the lead with a hard fought 5-3 decision victory by Andrew Doak at 165 pounds.  WJU then built their lead to 16-11 with two victories at 174 & 184 pounds.  Jacob Temple trimmed the WJU lead to 16-14 with a tough 3-2 decision victory at 197 pounds.  The Cardinals then won the match with a pinfall in the 285 pound match.

SHU will be off for a few days before returning to action at the NCAA Division II Super Region I Championships at Mercyhurst University the weekend of February 26th.
