LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Seton Hill University women's basketball team topped Lock Haven University, 85-60, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Sunday afternoon at the Thomas Fieldhouse at Lock Haven University.
Seton Hill is now 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. Lock Haven falls to 1-3 on the year and 0-2 in the PSAC.
The Griffins came out on fire in the first quarter, outscoring Lock Haven 12-2 in the first five minutes. A run by LHU that saw the lead dwindle to five (12-7) with 4:07 on the clock. However, SHU would go on to outscore LHU, 11-6, to take a 23-13 lead into the second quarter, and the lead would never dip below ten the remainder of the game.
Alexandria Deep paced SHU with 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting and 6-6 from the line.
Lindsey Mifsud scored 12 points on a perfect 4-for-4 from the three-point line.
Jenna Kaufman scored 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting, and
Chrisanna Green had 10 points and hit on 4-of-8 from the floor.
As a team, Seton Hill made 31-of-71 shots, including 11-of-33 from distance. The Griffins were 12-of-19 from the charity stripe.
Seton Hill will step out of PSAC play to take on former WVIAC foe Alderson Broaddus University on Sunday, November 27th at Salvitti Gymnasium. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
