Before SHU:
Hay helped her high school team to its third consecutive regional championship (GBSAA) and third straight provincial championship (OFSAA), advancing to the quarterfinals in class 'AAAA', further than any team in Eastview history. In addition, Hay was member of the prestigious Team Ontario 15U in 2011, and Team Ontario 17U in 2012, with both teams earning the gold medal at the Canadian National Championships. A multi-sport athlete, she also competed in the provincial championship playoffs in golf, as well as volleyball, and was a member of the soccer and co-ed ultimate Frisbee teams.
