Seton Hill closed out its 2014 part of the schedule by hosting #4 Mercyhurst in the McKenna Center on Thursday evening.  The Lakers won the match by a 31-15 score.  SHU falls to 1-1 in dual meets while the Lakers improve to 5-0. 
 
The Lakers jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a major decision victory at 125 pounds by Willie Bohince over Mike Soria.  Mercyhurst increased its lead to 10-0 with an injury default win at 133 pounds.  Pat Owens put the Griffins on the scoreboard with a 6-5 decision victory at 141 pounds to cut the Mercyhurst lead to 10-3.  Tanner Druck won his match at 149 pounds with a take down in overtime to win by a 5-3 score.  SHU then took a 12-10 lead in the match with a forfeit victory by Levi Stoyer at 157 pounds.
 
The Lakers retook the lead at 16-12 with a victory by fall in the 165 pound match.  The Lakers added on to their lead with a 12-8 decision at 174 pounds and a forfeit win at 184 pounds to increase the lead to 25-12.  Morris Lawson earned a 10-4 decision victory at 197 pounds to cut the Mercyhurst lead to 25-15.  The Lakers closed it out with a win by fall at 285 pounds.
 
Seton Hill will return to action on January 3^rd at the Waynesburg Invitational.
