The Griffin wrestlers traveled to Painesville, OH to battle Lake Erie in a dual match on Saturday evening.  Lake Erie was able to come away with a 23-13 victory.  SHU falls to 2-1 in dual matches.  SHU got on the board first with a decision victory from Stephen Smith at 125 pounds.  Lake Erie then picked up a major decision win at 133 pounds to take a 4-3 lead.  SHU took the next two matches, AJ Fisher (6-5) at 141 pounds and Nick Nichols (8-7) at 149 pounds to take a 9-4 lead in the match.  Lake Erie then began to take charge of the match and won 5 of the last 6 matches to take the 23-13 victory.  Zach Benzio was the only Griffin to win one of the last six matches.  Benzio recorded a major decision victory (13-4) at 174 pounds.  The team will return to action on December 15th at Mercyhurst Northeast.
