Nathan Davis scored a Seton Hill University record 37 points and older brother
Noah Davis scored his 1,000th career point as Seton Hill University snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday evening by downing Edinboro University, 104-74 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's basketball action.
The win moves Seton Hill to 6-5 overall and 3-4 in PSAC play. Edinboro falls to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
A single-digit game throughout the first half, Edinboro started off the second half by cutting the lead the seven, 48-41, with 18:20 on the clock. However, Seton Hill would go on a 20-7 run over the next 5:07 to take a commanding 68-47 lead and cruise to the 104-74 win.
Nathan Davis led all scorers with 19 points in the first half and 18 in the second to set a SHU record of 37 points on 12-for-18 total shooting, including a game-high 12 rebounds and a perfect 4-for-4 performance from the line.. His nine (9) three-pointers scored is a SHU record and is good enough for 5th most three's made in a game in the PSAC.
Noah Davis, who scored his 1,000th point of his career on a layup with 14:05 to go in the first half, scored 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting and 3-of-4 from three-point range.

Trevor Lecuona had a game-high six assists.
As a team, Seton Hill made 37 out of 60 shot attempts (61.7%), including a 14-for-20 (70%) from long-range. The Griffins were 16-of-24 (66.7%) from the charity stripe.
Edinboro was led by Jaymon Mason's 27 points on 10-of-23 shooting. Sheldon Brogdon had 14 opints on 5-of-13 from the floor, while Andre Frederick shipped in 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting. Mikael Anderson led the Fighting Scots' rebounding effort with 7, while Mason added six assists. Edinboro was a combined 26-for-69 (42%) from the floor, hitting on 8-of-22 (36.4%%) from three-point range. The Fighting Scots were 10-for-24 (34.8%) from the line.
For the game, Seton Hill out-rebounded Edinboro, 44-34. SHU held a 38-32 advantage in points in the paint as well as a 9-7 lead in points off of turnovers. The Griffin bench outscored Edinboro's bench, 26-19. Seton Hill outscored Edinboro in fast break points, 18-4.
Seton Hill will next travel to Erie, Pa. to battle Gannon University on January 6th. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
