Box Score 2 Seton Hill closed out their four game set with Indiana on Monday afternoon. SHU played host to the games but was the visiting team in both contests. SHU hung on for a 10-7 win in game one. SHU closed out the sweep with a 9-1 win in game two. Head coach Marc Marizzaldi picked up his 400
th career victory in the win. It is also the 400th career victory in Seton Hill baseball program history. SHU improves to 23-4 overall and 11-1 in PSAC play.
Seton Hill took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a solo homer from
Adam Ferita. IUP tied the score with an unearned run in the bottom of the third inning. SHU retook the lead with back to back solo homers in the top of the fourth.
Chris Miller and
Cody Herald went back to back to give the Griffins a 3-1 lead. IUP tied the score at three with a two run homer in the bottom of the fourth. SHU retook the lead in the top of the fifth.
Pat McCarthy and
Garret Vrbanic singled and scored when
Nick Sell hit a three run homer to center field. Miller then tripled and scored on a RBI ground out by
Logan Urtz. The Griffins added two more in the sixth on a solo shot from McCarthy and an RBI single from Sell. IUP loaded the bases in the seventh but
Austin Sleek got a strikeout to end the save and preserve the 10-7 win.

After three walks in the top of the first inning,
Adam Ferita singled in two runs to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead. IUP cut the lead in half with a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning.
Nick Sell increased the lead to 3-1 with a solo shot to left in the third inning.
Pat McCarthy and
Garret Vrbanic each had RBI singles in the fourth to increase the lead to 5-1. The Griffins added two more runs in the fifth inning to increase the lead to 7-1. McCarthy knocked in the ninth run of the game in the seventh.
Zach Martinelli earned his fourth win of the season. He went 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 6.

Logan Urtz each had two hits in the win.
Seton Hill will travel to West Liberty for a nonconference matchup on Wednesday.
