Brady McGuire Named to CSC Academic All America Division II Baseball Team

To cap off a spectacular season where he earned multiple post season awards, sophomore Brady McGuire picked up another award, this one for his work on the diamond and in the classroom as he earned Academic All America honors on Tuesday afternoon.  McGuire was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All American Division II Baseball Team as a second team selection.  It is his first academic All American honor.  

McGuire becomes the fourth baseball player to earn the award joining Ian Korn, Brandon Bergert and Tommy Pellis.  He joins women's basketball players Mia Kalich and Tiara Stossel, track and field athletes, Samuel Hartman, Mallory Sanner, Kaitlyn Germanoski, Aron Kurzinski, Josh Wilks and Erin Beattie, men's basketball players Noah and Nathan Davis, football players Zach Delo, Logan Wiland and Tyler Zimmer, lacrosse player Anthony DeSana,  volleyball athlete Viktoria Farian, wrestler Damon Greenwald and men's soccer player Joe Smith as Griffin athletes to be named Academic All Americans.

McGuire led the PSAC and the Griffins with a .443 average.  He also led the Griffins with 54 RBI which was second in the PSAC.  Brady added 48 runs scored, 8 doubles, a triple, 6 homers and 29 stolen bases in just 45 games played.

He was a third team ABCA/Rawlings All American as he earned his third All American honor this season.  McGuire was also a third team All American selection by the NCBWA and a second team selection by the D2CCA.  Earlier this season, McGuire was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year and he was also named the NCBWA and D2CCA Atlantic Regional Player of the Year.  He was a first team selection on the PSAC West team in addition to being an NCBWA and D2CCA All Atlantic Region team selection.   McGuire also earned a PSAC Spring Top 10 Award.  

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
