Box Score 2 Seton Hill hosted Indiana (PA) in a PSAC West doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. Seton Hill took game one by a 7-2 score. SHU completed the sweep with a 4-2 win in game two. SHU is now 21-4 overall and 9-1 in PSAC West play.
Indiana took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a two run homer to left field. SHU cut the lead in half with a run in the fourth.
Cody Herald doubled to lead off the inning and moved to third on a single from
Adam Ferita. Herald scored on a RBI groundout from
Zac Heide. SHU took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Anthony Fanelli doubled in two runs and
Nick Sell homered to deep left center field to score two more runs. The Griffins increased their lead to 7-2 in the sixth. Fanelli drove in two runs with a single in the sixth.
Mike Bittel earned the win with the complete game effort.
Anthony Fanelli was 3-4 with 4 RBI.
Pat McCarthy and
Nick Sell each had two hits.
IUP took a 1-0 lead in game two with a run in the top of the second. SHU tied the score with a solo shot from
Garret Vrbanic in the bottom of the third. SHU took the lead with 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Zac Heide drove in a run with a RBI groundout and
Taylor Schmidt knocked in two with a double over the left fielders head.
Brett Sullivan earned the win with a complete game victory. Sullivan tied Matt Nelson for career wins in SHU history with 27. Sullivan gave up 8 hits and struck out 5.
Seton Hill and IUP will complete their four game set with a doubleheader at SHU on Monday. IUP will be the home team in the two contests.
