Sophomore
Jenna Bracken made a little bit of history on Sunday as she became the first female track athlete to earn a PSAC individual championship with a first place finish in the 60 meter hurdles finals. Bracken ran a NCAA Provisional time of 8.84 to earn the title.
The Griffin women finished in ninth place with a team score of 31 points. The men's team placed 11th with 13 team points. Shippensburg won both team titles.
Nichelle McMillan finished third in the triple jump in a NCAA Provisional mark of 11.63m.
Meagen Carter was fourth in the 800m run in a time of 2:18.31.
Jade Woodridge finished fifth in the 60m dash in a time of 7.83.
Victoria Miller was 10th in the shot put (11.82m) and the 4x800m relay team of
Emily Dempsey,
Megan Weinreber,
Sarah Taylor and
Alyssa Brandis were 10th, finishing the race in a time of 10:29.47.
Algeron Johnson led the men's team with a second place finish in the heptathlon. He added a second place finish in the 1000m run and a thrid place finish in the 60m hurdles on Sunday.
Delorian Day was 10th in the triple jump (13.38m).
The team will now move outdoors for their outdoor season. They will take part in the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC on March 13-14 after a week of training for spring break.
