The Griffin track and field teams opened their indoor season at the YSU Icebreaker in Youngstown, Ohio on Friday.  

The teams finished with a combined seven top twelve individual finishes in the event.  

Nemani Moon led the women's team with a sixth place finish in the 400 meter run.  She finished with a time of 57.69 seconds.  

Angelo Allen had a pair of top 12 finishes.  He was eighth in the shot put with a toss of 15.46 meters.  Allen was 11th in the weight throw with a toss of 14.68 meters.  

Jacy Willis was second overall in the 400.  He ran a time of 47.47 seconds.  Devin Underwood was 11th in the event with a time of 49.66 seconds.  Cody Achilles placed 10th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:06.38.  Shane Plante-King was 11th in the triple jump with a leap of 13.43 meters.  

The teams will run at Muskingum on January 17th after the Christmas break.
