Box Score Seton Hill closed out their three game set with the rubber game of the series on Sunday afternoon. The Griffins outscored Coker 12-8 to take the three game series by winning two of the three games. SHU is now 2-1 on the season.
The Griffins jumped out to a 3-0 lead after their first at bat.
Cody Herald reached on an error and moved to third on another error after
Nick Sell walked.
Chris Miller drove in Herald with a sacrifice fly.
Sam Vilk then singled in Sell to give SHU a 2-0 lead.
Zac Heide then scored on a error for the third run of the inning. Coker responded with two runs in their half of the second inning. SHU added four more runs in the top of the second inning. Herald doubled in
Garret Vrbanic and
Adam Ferita. Miller then drove in
Pat McCarthy who was hit by a pitch. Heide then knocked in Herald with a sac fly to give SHU the 7-2 lead.
Matt Malacane made it 8-2 in the third when he scored on an RBI ground out by Vrbanic. Coker got three runs back in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Vrbanic's sacrifice fly increased the SHU lead to 9-5 in the top of the fifth. Coker got that run back in the bottom of the seventh inning. McCarthy drove in two more runs in the top of the ninth to increase the lead to 11-6. Vrbanic scored the 12th run for the Griffins when Herald reached on an error. Coker scored two runs in their final at bat.
Jordan Fuller earned his first victory of the season.

The Griffins will return to action next weekend when they travel to Winston Salem State for a three game set.
