Griffins Come Up Short in Shootouts

Box Score Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill field hockey team drops their second game of the season to Mansfield University today 3-2 in three rounds of shootouts. SHU is now 0-2 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.
 
Emily Hutsko assisted Alisha Bell who credited with the lone first-half goal at 26:06. Seton Hill was up 1-0 at half time.
 
With 4:07 into the second half Mansfield's Brianna Hathaway scored to tie the game up at 1.
 
Then at the 46:52 mark Seton Hill's Nicole Deluca unassisted goal up the Griffins in the lead, 2-1. But, again Mansfield was able to find a way to tie the game and shortly after the new Griffin lead; Mansfield was able to tie the game at 2 at the 48-minute mark.
 
The game would remain tied at 2 until the end of regulation. Subsequently two 15-minute overtime periods were played and both teams could not capitalize on their chances.

Seton Hill field hockey will play at Kutztown University on Wednesday, September 17th at 4:00 p.m. They will return home on Saturday, September 20th when they play East Stroudsburg University at 12:00 p.m.
