The Seton Hill field hockey team closed out the road portion of their schedule with a matchup at Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon. Slippery Rock scored three times in the first half then added four more in the second half in route to a 7-0 win over the Griffins.
The Rock struck first in the contest with just 1:37 to play in the first quarter. They took a 1-0 lead into the second quarter.
Slippery Rock added two more goals in the second quarter as they built a 3-0 halftime lead.
Emma Jorgensen recorded seven saves in net in the first half.
Slippery Rock scored two goals in each of the third and fourth quarter for the 7-0 win.
Shannon Mccormac finished with six saves in net in the second half.
Olivia Diebel and
Gabriella Oxley each had a shot for the Griffins.
SHU will close out the regular season on Saturday when they host #5 Millersville.
