Griffins Hammered at #9 Indiana (PA), 77-51

The Griffins traveled to the KCAC on Saturday evening to battle the #9 ranked Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks.  Seton Hill managed just four field goals in the first half and could not recover and suffered a 77-51 loss.  SHU falls to 13-9 overall and 5-7 in PSAC West play.
 
Malachi Leonard's three point play gave the Griffins a quick 3-0 lead.  IUP answered with 6 points in a row to take a 6-3 lead at the first media timeout of the half.  IUP was able to push their lead to 11-5 at the under 12 media timeout.  Noah Davis' jumper at the 5:45 mark of the first half cut the IUP lead to 26-7 and ended a nearly 10 minute scoring drought for the team.  IUP took a 37-12 lead into the halftime break. 
 
Nebojsa Stanojevic scored 6 of the first eight points of the half for the Griffins but they could not cut into the IUP lead and still trailed 45-20 at the first media timeout of the half.  IUP continued to add on to its lead and lead by 28 points at the under 12 media timeout.  SHU was able to cut into the IUP lead and trailed 61-38 at the under 8 media timeout.  IUP continued to lead and came away with a 77-51 victory.
 
Nebajsa Stanojevic led the Griffins with 16 points and 8 rebounds.  Kameron Taylor and Malachi Leonard each added 13. 
 
Seton Hill will host Clarion on Wednesday evening.
