Box Score Seton Hill closed out the 2014 portion of the season with a non conference road matchup at LeMoyne on Wednesday afternoon. LeMoyne outscored the Griffins 8-0 over the final three minutes of the contest for a 65-59 victory. SHU falls to 2-8 overall.
Noah Davis started out the game on fire, hitting three three pointers in the first six minutes of the contest to give the Griffins an 11-4 lead early in the contest. LeMoyne battled back to take a 15-13 lead with 9:44 to play in the half. SHU responded with a bucket from
Spencer Casson and another three from Davis as SHU led 18-15 with 8:45 to play in the half. Another Davis three pushed the SHU lead to 21-18 with just under 8 minutes in the half. LeMoyne then went on a 13-2 run to take a 31-23 lead.
Zach Herman hit a three to cut the lead to 33-28 but the Dolphins took a 35-28 lead into the halftime break.
David Windsor led the Griffins out of the halftime break as they went on a 11-2 run on three three's from Windsor to take a 39-35 lead early in the second half. The Dolphins tied the score at 41 before SHU went on an 8-0 run on three's from Windsor and Davis and a jumper from Davis and led 49-41 at the 11:06 mark of the half. LeMoyne cut the lead to 49-47 before back to back baskets from
Kameron Taylor gave SHU a 53-49 lead with 6:40 to play. The Dolphins then went on an 8-0 run before Herman's three cut the lead to 57-56 with just over four minutes to play. Davis then drained another three to give SHU a 59-57 lead before the Dolphins tied the score at 59 with 2:23 to play in the second half. The Dolphins took a 61-59 lead on a jumper with 37 seconds to play. LeMoyne then hit four of four free throws to close out the contest.
Noah Davis led the Griffins with 23 points on 7 three pointers.
David Windsor added 12 points on 4 three pointers.
The Griffins will return to action this weekend for two PSAC road Crossovers when they head to Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg.
