Box Score Seton Hill closed out their Thanksgiving trip to Fort Lauderdale, FL for the Nova Southeastern Thanksgiving Classic by taking on the host school on Saturday evening. SHU trailed by 13 points at the half and Nova Southeastern pulled away in the second half for an 85-55 victory. The Griffins drop to 1-4 on the season.
Seton Hill took their one and only lead of the contest when David Winsdor hit a three for the first field goal of the contest to give the Griffins a 3-0 lead. Nova Southeastern scored the next 7 points to take a 7-3 lead.
Trevor Blondin hit a jumper to end the run and cut the lead to 7-5 with 15:40 left in the half. NSU pushed the lead to 31-18 with just over five minutes to play it the half and took a 36-23 lead into the halftime break.
Nova Southeastern opened the second half on a 18-4 run to build a 54-27 lead just six minutes into the second half and never looked back. They would build the lead to as many as 33 before settling for the 85-55 victory.
Tyler Bowling led the Griffins with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Zach Herman was the other Griffin in double figures with 10 points.
Noah Davis finished with 9 points while
David Windsor added 8.
SHU will return to PSAC West play next Saturday when they travel to Pitt Johnstown.
