Box Score The Griffin men are spending their Thanksgiving in Florida for the Nova Southeastern Thanksgiving Classic in Fort Lauderdale. Seton Hill took on Lynn University in their first game of the classic on Friday evening. SHU trailed by nine at the half and Lynn pulled away in the second half for a 94-71 victory. The Griffins fall to 1-3 on the season.
Seton Hill took an early 4-2 lead on baskets from
Trevor Blondin and
Nebojsa Stanojevic. The game was close over the next five minutes with the teams tied at 14. Lynn then went on a 13-2 run to take a 27-16 lead with 10:59 to play in the half. Lynn built their lead up to as many as 14 in the first half before SHU cut the lead to 45-36 at the half.
Lynn built their lead to 55-39 early in the second half. SHU then went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead to 55-48 with 16:06 left in the half.
Trevor Blondin had 5 points during the run.
David Windsor hit a jumper to cut the Lynn lead to 57-50 with 14:42 left in the half. Lynn then went on a 17-0 run over the next three minutes to build their lead to 74-50. The Fighting Knights continued to lead throughout the rest of the second half in route to the 94-71 victory.
Trevor Blondin led the Griffins with 16 points.
Tyler Bowling added 14 points.
David Windsor was the third Griffin in double figures with 13 points.
The Griffins will close out the Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday evening when they play the host Nova Southeastern at 8 PM.
