Box Score Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill University field hockey team lost 2-1 in double overtime to Slippery Rock University on Tuesday afternoon. The Griffins are 0-9 overall this season and 0-7 in PSAC play.

Seton Hill held onto a 1-0 lead until SRU was able to tie the game at 56:52.

SRU had several chances to win the game at the end of regulation on a series of corner shots that were all stopped by the Griffin defense.

The game headed to double overtime after no scoring in the first overtime. Slippery Rock outshot Seton Hill 7-1 in the first OT.

At 78:28 Slippery Rock's Renee Rosenblum deflected a pass from her teammate into the net for the game-winning goal.

Alexandra Piekarz recorded 7 saves in Saturday's loss. She faced 22 total shots from the Slippery Rock offense.

Seton Hill will return to action on Saturday when they host PSAC opponent Millersville University. Game time is set for 1 pm.
