Seton Hill hosted West Liberty on Sunday afternoon in another WVIAC doubleheader. The first 9 inning contest counts in the WVIAC standings. Seton Hill took game one by a 13-5 score. Seton Hill closed out the day with a 10-6 victory in game two. SHU is now 30-9 overall and 20-4 in WVIAC play.
The Griffins got on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the third.
Dan Abbenante led off with a double, stole third and scored on a
Brendan Costantino single.
Jackson Boyd made it 2-0 with a sac fly.
Josh Forbes singled in another run to increase the lead to 3-0. Abbenante gave the Griffins a 4-0 lead in the fourth with an RBI single. West Liberty got a run back in the fifth.
The Griffins got that run right back in their half of the fifth. Boyd doubled after one out and scored on a
Mike Cima RBI single. The Hilltoppers made it 5-2 with a run in the sixth. A two run homer in the top of the seventh cut the Griffins lead to 5-4. An unearned run tied the score at five in the seventh.
Cody Herald came thru with a key 2 RBI single with two outs in the seventh to break the 5-5 tie and give the Griffins a 7-5 lead. The Griffins added two more thanks to a West Liberty error. Boyd added two more with a two run bomb in the eighth. SHU added two more and led 13-5 after eight.
Mike Bittel earned the win in relief.
Dan Abbenante led the offense with 4 hits.

West Liberty took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first of game two.
Cody Herald singled in a run to cut the lead to2-1 in the bottom of the first.
Dan Abbenante tied the score at two with an RBI single in the second.
Nick Sell added two more runs with a single to center.
Mike Cima perfectly executed a squeeze play to increase the lead to 5-2 in the third. West Liberty tied the score at five in the fifth.
Jeff Simon's sac fly gave the Griffins a 6-5 lead in the fifth.
Brendan Costantino then drove in two with a double. A dropped pop up gave the Griffins two more runs and they led 10-5 in the fifth.
Brad Schnelle earned the victory.

SHU will travel to WV Wesleyan on Wednesday.
