Greensburg PA- The Griffins lost to the undefeated IUP Hawks 56-54 on Saturday evening in the McKenna Center. The Griffins jumped out to a 20-12 lead with 10:10 to play in the first half. IUP ended the half on a 19-6 run to take a 36-31 halftime lead. The Griffins (now 5-3 overall and 2-2 in PSAC) played the Hawks close never trailing by more than 9 points in the second half. Back-to-back layups by Malachi Leonard tied the game at 54 with 59 seconds to play. The Griffins found themselves down by 2 with 2.8 seconds left in the game and attempting an inbound pass from the other side of half court. Senior Nate Perry misses hits a 3 point shot to win the game after a pass from Max Kenyi with no time left in the contest. Never the less, a great attempt and better inbound play to produce the look.
 
Several Griffins added point production. Native from Greensburg, PA senior Nate Perry added 10 points, sophomore Kameron Taylor from Landover, MD had 13 points, Senior Malachi Leonard from York, PA had himself a double-double with 10 rebounds and 14 points, and Senior Max Kenyi from Silver Spring, MD added 12 points for the Griffins.
 
The Seton Hill Griffins' next game will be at home on Tuesday, December 17 held in the McKenna Center. They will take on Cheyney University (2-6 overall and 2-2 in PSAC). Game time is 7:30 PM.
