Four Griffins Reach Double Figures in 71-52 Victory over LeMoyne

The Griffin men had four players score in double figures led by Kameron Taylor's 17 points as they defeated LeMoyne at home in the McKenna Center on Tuesday evening.  The victory lifts the Griffins record to 2-0 early in the season. 

LeMoyne jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead just a minute into the contest.  Seton Hill responded with an 8-2 run capped off by a jumper from Max Kenyi at the 16:03 mark.  The game remained tight over the next eight minutes with neither team holding more than a 3 point lead.  After a three pointer, the Dolphins led 18-16 with 9:00 to play in the first half.  SHU then went on a 12-2 run to take a 28-20 lead with just over five minutes to play in the half.  Kameron Taylor scored 5 during the run and Noah Davis added two baskets.  LeMoyne trimmed the lead back to 3 before the Griffins entered the halftime break with a 34-27 lead.

SHU extended its lead to as many as 13 points early in the second half but LeMoyne cut the lead to 43-35 with 15:25 to play in the second half.  The Dolphins then went cold from the floor and didnt score for over eight minutes.  Seton Hill was able to extend its lead to 59-35 over this scoring drought.  The Griffins were able to hold the lead near 20 the rest of the half and took home a 71-52 victory.

Kameron Taylor led the Griffins with 17 points on 8-12 shooting.  He also added 8 rebounds.  Malachi Leonard added 13 points and 8 rebounds.  David Windsor tossed in 12 points and Oliver McGlade scored 10 to give the Griffins four in double figures.

Seton Hill is off until next Wednesday November 20th when they open PSAC West play on the road at Mercyhurst.
