Seton Hill traveled to the University of Charleston on Monday night to compete against the Golden Eagles in a conference contest. The Griffins composure down the stretch earned them a 64-58 road win.
The Golden eagles started the game with a 5-0 run. A
Kameron Taylor three pointer and two made foul shots from
Lenjo Kilo tied the game 5-5 at the 16:29 mark. The contest was tied for a good two minutes until
David Windsor knocked down a three pointer giving the Griffins an 8-5 advantage early with 14:28 to go. Over the next ten minutes the game was very tight as the lead changed 5 times and the game was tied 20-20 with 4:41 remaining. A late 8-0 run by the Golden Eagles gave them a three-point advantage heading into halftime leading the Griffins 28-25.
In the second half Seton Hill came out hungry entering a 7-0 scoring spree. A jumper and three pointer from
Nate Perry and a Taylor jumper gave the Griffins a 32-28 advantage at the 16:44 mark. The Griffins managed to maintain their 7-point lead over a span of 10 minutes leading 52-45 with 6:07 remaining in the game. Charleston chipped away at the Seton Hill lead and with 1:28 left on the clock only trailed by 3 points 57-54.
Max Kenyi then buried 2 free throws to extend the lead to five. However, Charleston answered back with a layup bringing the game back to three points with a little under a minute to go 59-56. A bucket and foul shot from Kenyi as well as 2 free throws from
Ozren Bjelogrlic secured the 64-58 win for the Griffins with the final seconds winding down.

Tony Morocco who missed the game due to an illness.
Max Kenyi who scored 20 points and
Nate Perry who contributed 16 points in the victory led the Griffins offense. With the win Seton Hill now stands at 9-7 overall and 6-6 in conference action. The Griffins host Alderson Broaddus College next on Thursday at 7:30PM.
