Box Score The Griffin field hockey team started its season with a trip to New England and they will return with an undefeated record following a 4-1 victory over Assumption on Sunday afternoon.  SHU defeated American International on Saturday.  Seton Hill improves to 2-0 following the victory. 

Natasha Nichols got the Griffins on the scoreboard in the game's tenth minute.  Ashley Reid assisted on the goal.  Assumption tied the score at one with a goal at the 18:19 mark of the first half.  The game entered the half tied at one.  Keeper Autumn Reid made 2 saves in net.

Nichols scored her second goal of the game to give the Griffins a 2-1 lead with 13:18 to play in the second half.  Joanna Pichardo made it 3-1 with a goal under 9 minutes later.  Lauren Mariano put the game away with a goal off a penalty corner with 1:50 to play in the game.  Brittany Davis assisted on the goal.  Rebecca Portillo made 2 saves in net in the second half to earn the victory.

Seton Hill will open PSAC play next Saturday when they travel to Bloomsburg.
