Box Score The field hockey team competed against the Raiders of Shippensburg University on Wednesday afternoon in a PSAC conference contest. The Raiders offense proved to be a problem for the Griffins as they defeated Seton Hill 5-0.
 
In first half action after an intense 37 minutes of play the Raiders struck first taking a 1-0 lead over the Griffins. Seton Hill was unable to strike back and entered halftime trailing by one.
 
The second half was all Shippensburg. In the first three minutes of action the Raiders scored back-to-back goals to extend their advantage 3-0. Seton Hill was unable to answer back. However, the Raiders were not done. Shippensburg put another goal past the keeper at the 65:14 mark as well as at the final buzzer to defeat Seton Hill 5-0.
 
Autumn Reid recorded 9 saves in the net for the Griffins. With the loss Seton Hill now stands at 5-7 overall and 1-4 in PSAC play. The Griffins resume play on October 6^th, as they face Mercyhurst at home at 4:00PM. It will also be the Senior Day, so come out and support the graduating Seniors.
