Seton Hill hosted Northwood in G-MAC action on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg as the Griffins celebrated Senior Day.
The Griffins used a 9-2 second quarter to pull away as they cruised to a 22-12 victory over the Wolves. SHU is now 11-2 overall and 8-0 in the G-MAC.
SHU scored a pair of goals in the first three minutes of the contest as they took an early 2-0 lead on goals from
Kaden Granberg and
Carter Li. Northwood scored two of the next three goals to tie the score at three with 3:32 left. Li scored to close out the first quarter scoring as SHU led 4-3 after one.
The second quarter was all Seton Hill as the Griffins outscored the Wolves 9-2.
Dexter Hannigan and Li scored in the first three minutes of the quarter to put SHU in front 6-4 with 12:40 left. Northwood scored to trim the lead to 6-5 with 9:24 left. SHU then scored the final seven goals of the half as they took a 13-5 lead. Hannigan scored a pair with Granberg, Li,
Michael Coleman,
Nate Herbster and
Gavin Erickson scoring single goals.
Herbster,
John Rebaudo IV, Hannigan and
Andrew Mathieu scored third quarter goals for SHU.
Granberg, Li, Herbster and
Landon Danes each scored for the Griffins in the fourth.
Li led the Griffins with 5 goals and an assist. Hannigan and Granberg each scored four. Herbster added three goals. Rebaudo IV added a goal and 4 assists.
Will Cody made 14 saves.
SHU will travel to Frostburg State on Wednesday evening.
