Seton Hill traveled to Maryland for a non conference matchup with Frostburg State on Wednesday evening under the lights.
The Griffins outscored the Bobcats 6-1 in the second half in route to a 10-6 victory. SHU improves to 12-2 overall while Frostburg falls to 9-6.
Frostburg State scored the opening goal of the contest before the Griffins responded with three straight to take a 3-1 lead with 3:40 to play in the first.
Nate Herbster scored the first two and
Dexter Hannigan added the third. The Bobcats scored the final goal of the first to cut the lead to 3-2.
Carter Green opened the scoring for the Griffins in the second quarter as he scored less than a minute in to increase the Griffin lead to 4-2. Frostburg scored the final three goals of the half as they took a 5-4 lead over the Griffins at the halftime break.
The Griffins scored the first three goals of the third quarter to build a 7-5 lead with 6:39 left.
Kaden Granberg scored early in the quarter to tie it at five. Green and
Michael Coleman scored less than a minute apart as SHU took a two goal lead.
Coleman scored early in the fourth to extend the Griffin lead to 8-5. The Bobcats scored less than a minute later to trim the lead to 8-6. Hannigan and Granberg scored for the Griffins to close out the scoring.
Green, Coleman, Herbster, Granberg and Hannigan each scored twice. Green added two assists.
Will Cody made 12 saves.
SHU will continue G-MAC play on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Davenport.
