Seton Hill hosted Chestnut Hill in a hon conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.
SHU was able to win the battle of the Griffins as they jumped out to a 10-2 halftime lead and a 14-6 win. SHU is now 2-0 on the season. Â
Chestnut Hill was able to score the first goal of the first quarter before the Griffins responded with four straight.Â
Carter Green and
Riley Grudi each scored a goal with
Michael Coleman adding a goal as SHU took a 4-1 lead. Â
Nate Herbster and Grudi scored early in the second quarter as SHU led 6-1 with 11:55 left.Â
Tiernan Lynch scored a pair with Herbster and
Noah Radle scoring one as the Grififns built a 10-1 lead with 3:47 left in the half. SHU led 10-2 at the halftime break.Â
Andrew Mathieu, Coleman and
Carter Li scored for the Griffins in the third as they took a 13-5 lead. Â
Landon Danes scored the lone SHU goal in the fourth.
Coleman led SHU with 3 goals and 2 assists. Herbster added two goals and two assists. Lynch and Grudi each scored a pair. WIll Cody made 12 saves in net for the Griffins.Â
SHU will travel to UIndy next Saturday. Â
