Seton Hill took a break from G-MAC action as they hosted Frostburg State in a non conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg.
The Griffins scored the first eleven goals of the contest as they defeated the Bobcats 18-2 to give head coach
Brian Novotny his 200th career win at SHU. The Griffins improve to 13-1 on the season. Â
The first half belonged to the Griffins as they scored the only 10 goals of the half. Â
Carter Green and
Kaden Granberg scored 32 seconds apart as the Griffins took a 2-0 lead midway through the first quarter.Â
Braedan Lockyer scored a pair and
Connor Zostant scored one as the Griffins scored three goals in 1:07 to take a 5-0 lead with 4:11 left in the quarter.Â
Colin Socker scored the final goal of the quarter for the Griffins. Â
Mark Strunk won the opening faceoff of the second quarter and scored a goal eight seconds into the quarter. SHU then got a pair of man down goals from
Wade Brunelle and
Riley Grudi as SHU extended the lead to 9-0 with 6:38 left.Â
Michael Coleman scored the final goal of the half for the Griffins. Â
Granberg scored 28 seconds into the third quarter as the Griffins took an 11-0 lead. After a Frostburg goal, SHU scored the next five goals to close out the scoring in the third. Lockyer had a pair with Granberg, Socker and
Nate Herbster scoring the other three. Â
Noah Radle and
Sam Coldren scored 19 seconds apart in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring for SHU.
Lockyer led the offense with four goals. Granberg added three goals and Socker finished with two. Grudi, Green and Herbster each had a goal and two assists.Â
Will Cody made 11 saves in net for the win.
SHU will host Davenport on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day. Â
