Men's Lacrosse Wins Ninth Straight

The Griffins traveled to Tiffin, OH for a G-MAC contest against the Dragons on Thursday afternoon.

Seton Hill jumped out to a 9-1 lead after the first quarter and cruised to another easy G-MAC win with a 17-6 victory over Tiffin.  SHU is now 11-1 overall and 6-0 in the G-MAC.  

The Griffins scored the first eight goals of the first quarter as they built an 8-0 lead with 3:37 to play in the quarter.  Braedan Lockyer and Nate Herbster scored a pair of goals in the run.  Michael Coleman, Connor Zostant, Kaden Granberg and Ayden Naranjo each scored a goal as the Griffins took a big, early lead.  Herbster scored his third of the quarter with 14 seconds left as SHU took a 9-1 lead into the second quarter.  

Tiffin opened the second quarter scoring but the Griffins answered right back 10 seconds later on a Cullen Kerchner goal after a faceoff win.  Wade Brunelle scored the final goal of the half at the 9:18 mark as SHU led 11-2 at halftime.  

Connor Zostant scored his second just over a minute into the third quarter.  The Griffins then scored three times in a 1:30 stretch as they increased their lead to 15-2 with 5:16 left.  Brunelle, Naranjo and Granberg scored the Griffin goals in the run.  Naranjo scored right before the third quarter buzzer to push the lead to 16-3. 

Eliot Schratz scored the lone Griffin goal in the fourth quarter.  

Lockyer led the Griffins with 2 goals and 4 assists.  Naranjo and Herbster each scored three times.  Brunelle and Granberg each scored 2 goals and 2 assists.  

The Griffins will continue their road trip as they travel to Northwood for another G-MAC contest on Saturday afternoon.
