Men's Lacrosse Completes Perfect G-MAC Regular Season

The Seton Hill men's lacrosse team closed out their regular season with a Senior Day matchup with Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.

Seton Hill outscored the Senators 12-1 in the first quarter and never looked back in a 31-7 victory over Davis & Elkins.  SHU is now 11-4 overall and a perfect 7-0 in G-MAC play.  

Connor Zostant scored twice and Kaden Granberg and Demetri Yerou scored in the first five minutes of the contest as SHU took a 4-0 lead.  Vincent Cogliandro added a goal and Andy Davis scored twice in a ten second span as the Griffins increased their lead to 7-0 midway through the quarter.  The Senators scored their only goal of the quarter before the Griffins closed out the quarter with five goals.  Zostant scored twice, Davis, Grady Arnold and Ryan McCann scored for the Griffins as they took a 12-1 lead.  

Blake Morrow and Nate Herbster opened the scoring for the Griffins in the second quarter.  After a Senator goal, SHU closed out the half with six straight.  Colin Socker, Gavin Erickson, Michael Coleman, Peyton Gensler, Yerou and Cogliandro scored for the Griffins.  

Wade Brunelle and Herbster scored twice and Socker added one goal as SHU built a 25-2 lead with ten minutes to play in the third quarter.  Davis & Elkins scored the final two goals of the quarter as SHU carried a 25-4 lead into the fourth quarter.  

Zostant, Herbster, Erickson, Yerou, Socker and Noah Vandewater closed out the scoring for the Griffins.  

Zostant led SHU with five goals and an assist.  Herbster scored four times.  Davis and Yerou each scored three times and added an assist.  Socker also scored three times.

The Griffins will host Walsh on Wednesday afternoon at noon in the G-MAC Semifinal.
