After dropping their home opener last weekend, the Griffin men's lacrosse team looked to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when they traveled to Molloy for a non conference matchup.
Seton Hill jumped out to a 9-3 halftime lead and cruised to an 18-5 win over the Lions. SHU evens their record at 1-1 while Molloy falls to 0-1.
McGarity Harper gave the Griffins an early 2-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest with two goals. After Molloy cut the Griffin lead in half, SHU responded with two straight goals from
Layne Harich and
Thomas Hanulak to take a 4-1 lead with 10:44 to play. Hanulak answered another Lions goal with his second of the game as SHU took a 5-2 lead into the second quarter.
Harich scored his second goal of the game to open the second quarter and extend the Griffins lead to four. Molloy trimmed the lead to 6-3 but the Griffins scored three times over a five minute stretch to take a 9-3 lead.

Zack Estabrooks scored in the 3-0 run.
The teams exchanged goals to start the second half. The Griffins then put the game away with five straight goals to end the quarter. Socker scored twice with Hanulak, Harper and Estabrooks each scoring one during the 5-0 run. The Lions scored the final goal of the quarter with 26 seconds to play to cut the lead to 15-5.
SHU scored the only three goals of the fourth quarter.
Andy Davis scored the first goal and
Connor Zostant scored the final two for the Griffins.
Seton Hill outshot the Lions 56-22 and had a 39-15 advantage in shots on goal. The Griffins totally dominated the ground ball game, 54-16.
Harper led the Griffins with four goals and two assists. Hanulak added three goals and two assists. Socker also scored three times. Estabrooks and Harich each finished with two goals and two assists. Zostant scored twice.
Logan Gray won 14 of 16 faceoffs.
Josh Miller recorded eight saves in cage to earn the win.
The Griffins will return home next Saturday when they host Chestnut Hill in a battle of the Griffins.
