After trailing 6-3 with six minutes to play in the second quarter, the Griffins turned up the offense and defense as they scored ten of the final eleven goals for a 13-7 home win over #14 Lindenwood on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Griffins are now 4-2 on the season while the Lions drop their first contest of the season.
John Hofseth scored a man up goal to answer a Lindenwood goal less than three minutes into the contest. Two straight goals from Lindenwood gave the Lions a 3-1 lead into the second quarter.
Less than a minute into the second quarter,
Robert Hofseth scored a man up goal to trim the Lions lead to 3-2. The Lions then scored three of the next four goals to build a 6-3 lead with 6:22 to play in the half. Four straight goals from the Griffins closed out the half and SHU took a 7-6 lead into the halftime break.
John Miller,
Robert Hofseth each scored one goal and
Bennett Johnson scored twice during the run.
The third quarter was a low scoring one as the Griffins outscored the Lions 2-1.
Logan Maloni and Johnson each scored for the Griffins in the quarter.
The fourth quarter was all Seton Hill as they outscored the Lions 4-0 to close out the win. Goals from
Zack Estabrooks and
John Hofseth early in the quarter pushed the Griffins lead to 11-7.

In the win, the Griffin defense held the Lions to just one goal in the final 36 minutes. SHU was also a perfect 4-4 in man up opportunities.
Johnson led the Griffins with five points on three goals and two assists. Maloni added a goal and 3 assists.
Robert Hofseth added 3 goals while brother John finished with two goals and an assists. Estabrooks also finished the game with 2 goals.
Jay Scerbo was 17-24 in faceoffs and
Max Eismann added 14 saves.
SHU will be off for two weeks before traveling to Gaffney, SC to take on Limestone on March 16th.
