Seton Hill made the trip across the turnpike to meet Chestnut Hill in a battle of the Griffins on Tuesday afternoon. Seton Hill outscored Chestnut Hill 16-9 over the final three periods in route to a 19-12 victory. SHU is now 3-2 on the season while Chestnut Hill is 2-1.
The first period was tightly played as each team exchanged goals and scored three times for a 3-3 tie after the first period of play.

Chestnut Hill took their first lead of the game with the opening goal of the second period. Back to back goals from
Jay Scerbo and
Logan Maloni put the Griffins in front 5-4 with 10:43 left in the half. After Chestnut Hill tied the score,
Bennett Johnson and
Collin Mitchell gave the Griffins a 7-5 lead. Goals from Mitchell and
Robert Hofseth gave SHU a 9-6 lead at the halftime break.
Johnson opened the scoring in the second half for the Griffins. After a Chestnut Hill goal, the Griffins scored three straight to take control of the game and lead 13-7 with 5:23 to play in the quarter. A man down goal from Miller pushed the SHU lead to 14-8 after three quarters of play.
Three goals from the Griffins in just over two minutes of the fourth quarter put the game away for the Griffins as they built a 19-10 lead with just under five minutes to play.
Mitchell led the Griffins with 4 goals and an assist.
Robert Hofseth added 3 goals and 2 assists. Estabrooks and Miller each had 3 goals and an assist. Johnson finished with 3 goals and
Logan Maloni added 2.
Max Eismann recorded 8 saves in cage.
Jay Scerbo was 14-21 in faceoffs.
SHU returns home on Saturday for another top 20 matchup with Lindenwood at 12 noon.
