Bennett Johnson and
John Hofseth each scored four goals as the #11 Seton Hill University men's lacrosse team held off University of Indianapolis, 11-9, in nonconference action on Saturday morning at Dick's Sporting Goods Field. Seven seniors were honored after the game -

Seton Hill improves to 8-4 on the year, while UIndy falls to 6-5.
UIndy's Parker Kump struck first to put the Greyhounds up, 1-0, early in the first quarter, but goals by
Bennett Johnson (12:14) and
John Hofseth (11:10) put SHU ahead, 2-1. After another Kump goal tied the game, 2-2,
Marshall Case scored the first goal of his collegiate career with 2:19 to go in the first to regain the lead, 3-2. In the second quarter, Seton Hill received goals by
Jack Moran (14:09), Johnson (8:09), and Hofseth (5:22, 1:50), to take a 7-5 lead going into the break.
In the third, Johnson scored his third goal of the game with 11:24 remaining to give Seton Hill an 8-5 lead. However, UIndy would receive two goals by Sam Horning and cut the lead to just one, 8-7.
Johnson mirrored his third quarter performance with a goal in the fourth with 11:18 showing on the clock. After Uindy's Parker Johnson scored, Seton Hill shut down the Greyhound momentum with off goals by Hofseth (8:18) and
Shane Pettke (4:50) to put the Griffins ahead, 11-8. Kump would score again late in the game, but it wasn't enough as Seton Hill held on for the 11-9 win.
For the game, Seton Hill edged Indianapolis in shot, 36-33 (25-22 on-goal). The Greyhounds committed 19 turnovers compared to 15 for Seton Hill. The Griffins grabbed 35 ground balls, while UIndy had 34. The two teams tied in face offs, 12-12.
Max Eismann (3-0) picked up the win for Seton Hill, allowing all nine goals while registering 13 saves. Jarod Kimble got the loss for UIndy.
Jack Moran and
Jack Miller each had three assists in the game while
Shane Pettke added two assists and
Ryan McHugh contributed one.
Seton Hill returns to G-MAC play when they take Ohio Valley University on Tuesday, April 25th in Vienna, WV.
