GREENSBURG, Pa. - Scoring early and often, the #6 Seton Hill University men's lacrosse team used a barrage of goals from a wide assortment of team members en route to a 25-4 win over Alderson Broaddus University in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference debut at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.
Seton Hill improves to 2-1 overall on the season (1-0 G-MAC). The Battlers are now 0-1.
Collin Mitchell got the scoring started at the 11:38 mark in the first quarter, and it was all SHU the rest of the way as the Griffins led 7-0 after the first quarter and 14-1 at the half. Seton Hill scored seven more in the third and four more in the fourth while giving up just three goals the rest of the way.
Seton Hill registered 64 total shots in the game, 37 of which on-goal, as thirteen Griffins scored goals in the contest. The Battlers had 23 turnovers in the game.
Seton Hill returns to action on Saturday, March 11th when they travel to Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC to take on Florida Tech in neutral site, non-confernce game scheduled for 1:00 PM.
