MISENHEIMER, NC -
Zach Hartmann scored three goals as the #4 Seton Hill University men's lacrosse team downed #15 Pfeiffer University, 16-8, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at NE Lefko Field in Misenheimer, NC.
The Griffins are now 6-0 (1-0 ECAC). Pfeiffer drops to 4-2 on the season.
The Griffin's were led by
Zach Hartmann's three-goal performance.
Zack Rusch,
Hunter Hayes, and
Erik Hultgren scored two apiece with Rusch adding two assists in the game. Matt Manhood,
Garret Howell,
Jonah Gutentag,
Jack Moran,
Sean Stanners, Bennet Johnson, and
John Miller all scored in the win.
Pfeiffer was led by Cole Sheen's three goals. Ben Austin and Derek Thomas chipped in two goals, and kyle Enkelmann added one goal in the loss.
Merritt Bailey picked up the win for SHU, allowing all eight goals while registering 11 saves in 57:00 played defending the net for the Griffins. Mike Moorehead picked up the loss for Pfeiffer.
Seton Hill will return to action on Saturday, March 19th when they travel to Erie, PA to take on Mercyhurst University. That game is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM.
