Box Score Institute, WV- The Seton Hill women's basketball team fell to the University of Charleston 72-64 on Saturday afternoon, but picked up some honors in the process. At the 4:47 mark of the second half,
Chelsea Apke made a layup to go over the 1,000 career point mark. Also, freshman
Lindsey Mifsud and senior
Meghan Mastroianni were named to the All Tournament Team. The loss dropped the Griffins to 1-1 on the season.

Seton Hill scored the first shot of the game with a three-pointer scored by
Kelly Brennan. The Griffins held the lead for first 7:21 and led as much at 8 points. Charleston tied the game at 15 and extended a 5-point lead late in the half.

Seton Hill climbed back to establish a 1-point edge before half time. With 0:47 seconds left, Charleston's Marissa Koob hit a 3-point shot to lift the Golden Eagles to a 29-27 half time advantage.

SHU's Brennan led the first half scoring for the Griffins with 7 points, shooting 3-5 on FG attempts.
Cha Cha Williams also added two FGs, adding 4 points in the first half.

The Golden Eagles held the advantage for the majority of the second half. Down by a 14-point deficit, Seton Hill was able to climb back by tying the game at 48 with 7:11 left on the clock.

The Golden Eagles would ultimately shut out the Griffins by hitting 10 out of their last 11 shots. Charleston held on to win 72-64. UC outscored Seton Hill 43-37 in the second half.

Lindsey Mifsud lead the team with 16 points.
Meghan Mastroianni and Brennan each added 10 points. Six Seton Hill players added 28 total points off the bench.

Chelsea Apke lead the Griffins with 11 rebounds, adding 9 rebounds on the defensive end.Â
Alexandra Hay led with 5 assists, Brennan and Gill also added three of their own.

The Griffins will return to action on Wednesday, November 19 when they host Edinboro University for their first taste of PSAC competition of the season. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
