Mia Kalich Earns PSAC Winter Top 10 Award for Second Straight Year

4/7/2026 3:00:00 PM

Seton Hill junior forward Mia Kalich continues to receive honors for her work on the court and in the classroom.  On Wednesday afternoon, Kalich was named a PSAC Winter Top 10 Award Winner.   This is the second straight season that Kalich has earned the award.

Kalich is now one of four two time winners of the award from Seton Hill.  She joins Samuel Hartman (Spring 21 & 22), Tommy Pellis (Spring 20 & 21) and Nathan Davis (19-20 Winter, 18-19 Winter) as the only two time winners.  Sydney Wolf (21 Fall), Viktoria Farian (2019 Fall), Kaitlyn Germanoski (2017-18 Winter), Noah Davis (2016-17 Winter), Joe Smith (2016 Fall), Mallory Sanner (2015 Spring) and Tyler Zimmer (2013 Fall) are other Griffins who have earned the award once over their SHU careers.

The Top 10 Awards, selected by the PSAC's sports information directors, recognize student-athletes who distinguish themselves in the classroom, as well as in the arena of competition. The conference designates Top 10 Award winners after each of the sports seasons: fall, winter and spring.  To be a candidate for the Top 10 Awards, a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must be a starter or key reserve with legitimate athletic credentials.  The PSAC Top 10 Awards were initiated in 1997.

Kalich helped the Griffins to their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance as the Griffins finished the season with a 22-9 record.  Kalich averaged a double double of 14 points and 12.1 rebounds.  Mia led the team in rebounds, steals and assists.  She finished the season with 22 double doubles and three triple doubles.  Kalich led the PSAC in steals and was second in rebounding.  Mia was third in Division II in steals.

Kalich was the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year for the second straight season while earning first team honors from the PSAC West.  Mia also earned D2CCA All Region Second Team selections this season as well.  Kalich was a WBCA All American Honorable Mention selection.
