Griffins Fall in Regular Season Finale at UPJ

The Griffin wrestling team made the short trip to Johnstown, PA for their final dual match of the season.  Seton Hill dropped a 38-9 decison to the fifth ranked team in the region Mountain Cats.  SHU falls to 7-12 on the season.  UPJ took the first three matches to jump out to a 13-0 lead.  Nick Nichols then got the Griffins on the scoreboard with a pin with 13 seconds remaining in his 149 pound match.  Brett Smith then followed with a 4-3 decision at 157 pounds to cut the UPJ lead to 13-9.  That was the final match the Griffins would win as UPJ closed out the match with five victories.  The Griffins will take part in the NCAA Division II Super Regional I the weekend of February 22nd.
