Four Griffins scored in double figures to lead the team to a 59-41 victory at home over Johnson C Smith on Saturday afternoon.  With the victory, the Griffins improve to 4-2 on the season. 

Seton Hill jumped out to an early 8-7 lead at the 16:28 mark of the first half off of four points from Mallory Sanner.  Johnson C Smith then went on a 9-0 run of their own to take a 16-8 lead.  SHU answered with a 9-0 run of their own to take the lead back at 17-16.  Paige Alviani hit the jumper that gave the Griffins the lead.  The Bulls retook the lead and led til Katie Gattuso hit a jumper at the 5:11 mark of the first half at 23-22.  The teams exchanged the lead the rest of the first half before a Gattuso basket gave the Griffins a 27-26 halftime lead.  Meghan Mastroianni led the Griffins with 8 points at the half while Gattuso and Sanner each added 6 points. 

SHU came out firing at the start of the second half, scoring the first 11 points of the half.  Alviani opened the half with a three pointer and two free throws from Sanner gave the Griffins their largest lead of the game at that point at 38-26 with 15:10 to play.  After the Bulls trimmed the lead to 43-33, SHU went on another 11-0 run to put the game away.  SHU led 54-33 with 6:03 to play and cruised to a 59-41 victory.

Katie Gattuso led the Griffins with another double double, her fifth of the season and fifth in a row with 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Meghan Mastroianni, Paige Alviani and Mallory Sanner each added 10 points.  Sanner also pulled down 10 rebounds. 

The Griffins return to PSAC West play on Wednesday when they travel to Edinboro for a 5:30 PM tipoff.
