Paige Alviani and the rest of her Griffins teammates didnt let the night she scored her 1,000th career point be a loss as the Griffins stormed back in the second half, holding West Liberty scoreless for an 8 minute stretch, to record the victory.  Seton Hill erased a 12 point halftime deficit and rallied for a 70-58 victory over the Lady Hilltoppers.  The Griffins improve to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in WVIAC while the Toppers fall to 8-4 overall and 6-2 in WVIAC play.

Both teams started the first half off slow as the game was scoreless for the first 3:20.  West Liberty ended the drought with a three pointer only to be answered by a Paige Alviani three pointer.  Mallory Sanner drained a three pointer to tie the score at 8 with 13:40 to play.  Seton Hill was able to push their lead to 13-11 with 11:02 to play.  West Liberty responded with a 9-0 run to take a 20-13 lead with under 8 minutes to play.  A layin and three pointer from Meghan Mastroianni cut the lead back to 20-18 but the Lady Toppers were able to continue to extend their lead and took a 41-29 advantage into the halftime break.  One of the lone bright spots in the first half for the Griffins was Alviani hitting the 1,000 career point mark with her first free throw at the 3:40 mark,

West Liberty continued to hold a double digit lead throughout the first five minutes of the second half.  Five straight points from Katie Gattuso cut the lead to 47-40 with 14:34 to play.  WLU pushed the lead back to 10 with a three point play.  Another Alviani three pointer and Gattuso layin cut the advantage back to 50-45 with 13 minutes to play.  West Liberty pushed its lead back to 54-47 with 11:02 to play but that would be the last point the Hilltoppers would score until the 2:57 mark of the half.  Seton Hill was able to take control of the contest over than span with a 16-0 run.  Tiara Stossel started the run off with a jumper followed by a three point play by Gattuso.  A Stossel three gave the Griffins a 55-54 lead with 9:14 to play.  Mastroianni and Sanner followed with layins to push the lead to 5 at 59-54.  Gattuso and Mastroianni closed out the run to give the Griffins a 63-54 with 3:30 to play.  After WLU scored their first basket in 8 minutes, Gattuso answered it right back to keep the lead at 9 and the Griffins were able to close out the Hilltoppers at the free throw line for the 70-58 victory.
