Cody Golon will begin his second season at Seton Hill University in 2020.
In his first season on the hill, the Griffins won the G-MAC regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. The team won five of the six G-MAC major awards and had 10 players earn All G-MAC honors.
Prior to returning to the hill he served as the Offensive Coordinator at Peters Township High School. While at Peters Township, Golon helped lead the team to unprecedented success. Over the past two seasons, the Indians finished with a record of 33-11, two Section and WPIAL championships and two PIAA state playoff berths. The two WPIAL titles were the first ever in school history. Golon also coached 3 All-Americans, a WPIAL Player of the Year, and multiple All-Section winners.
Golon earned his Bachelors degree in Communication from Seton Hill University in 2015. While at SHU, he was a member of the men’s lacrosse team. During his time at Seton Hill, the men’s lacrosse team made history, playing in their first NCAA tournament and defeating the #1 ranked team in the country for the first time. Golon was named Conference Player of the Week for his on-field achievements, scoring the game winner, during that game.
Golon was also named the 2014 Seton Hill University Communication Award Winner. In addition to this academic award, he was a 3-time ECAC Academic All-Conference Award winner.
Before Seton Hill, Golon captained Baldwin High School in 2011, where he was a 4-year starter. He was named WPIAL Division 2 Player of The Year in 2011.
