Griffins Drop PSAC Crossover with Bloomsburg

The Seton Hill University women's soccer team fell to Bloomsburg, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at DSG Field. The contest was shortened due to weather but counted as an official game after surpassing 70 minutes of playing time.

The Huskies struck first in the 32nd minute when Whitney Evancho headed home a pass from Jordan Andrews to give Bloomsburg a 1-0 advantage.

Bloomsburg added to its lead just before halftime, as Evancho scored her second goal of the afternoon in the 45th minute. Her shot found the back of the net following a deflection off a Seton Hill defender, sending the Huskies into the break with a 2-0 lead.

The Griffins looked to get back into the contest in the second half, generating five shots and earning their lone corner kick of the afternoon. Kilee Coatney put two shots on goal, while Caitlin Snow recorded three total shots.

Seton Hill goalkeeper Rhys Caplinger finished with two goals allowed, while Bloomsburg goalkeeper Courtney Rebar made three saves to preserve the shutout.
