For the seventh time in school history, the Seton Hill men's lacrosse program has earned a bid in the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Seton Hill earned the fifth seed out of the North Region and will travel to #4 seed Pace on Sunday, May 10 for a first round NCAA matchup in Pleasantville, NY. This is the second straight appearance in the tournament for the Griffins.
SHU enters the tournament with a 16-2 record while Pace enters with a 12-5 record. The Griffins earned the automatic bid from the G-MAC after they defeated Davenport 16-10 on Saturday afternoon. Pace earned an at large bid after falling to Adelphi in the NE 10 Championship game.
The top seed in the North is Adelphi who won the NE-10 title over Pace and is 16-0 on the season. The top seeded Adelphi will meet Wilmington, the CACC Champion in the NCAA First Round. The other first round matchups feature #3 seed Molloy (14-3) and sixth seed Assumption (11-5). Second seed St Anselm (11-2) will meet #7 seed St Michaels (9-5) in the final first round matchup.
The winner of the Seton Hill/Pace matchup will meet the winner of the Adelphi/Wilmington matchup in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 13. The highest remaining seed will host the quarterfinal. The other quarterfinal will feature the winner of St Anselm/St Michaels and Assumption/Molly.
The NCAA Semifinals will be played on Sunday, May 17th at the highest seed remaining. The Division II final will be played on May 24th at 4 PM at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA.
