Seton Hill concluded the regular season with a PSAC West doubleheader with Clarion on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.
The Griffins won game one by a 21-4 score. SHU completed the sweep with a 25-5 win in game two. SHU is now 41-9 overall and 26-2 in the west.
SHU took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning of game one.
Jakob Haynes singled to lead off the inning.
Heath Fetchik homered to give SHU a 2-0 lead.
The Griffins put 13 runs on the board in the fourth inning.
Nate Dorinsky had a sacrifice fly and
Michael Gregos doubled in a run.
Owen Henne,
Colin Ahr and Haynes drew bases loaded walks. Dorinsky and Fetchik added RBIs before Gregos hit a grand slam to give SHU a 15-0.
The Griffins added five more in the fifth. Fiedor and Gregos each drove in runs with Fiedor on a walk and Gregos on a fielders choice.
Jack Whalen made is 20-1 with a three run homer. Fiedor added a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Brady McGuire led SHU with three hits. Ahr, Haynes, Dorinsky and Gregos each added two hits.
SHU scored three times in the bottom of the first inning of game two. Whalen and McGuire walked to lead off the game. Henne followed with a two run double. Haynes then followed with an RBI single as SHU took a 3-0 lead.
Seton Hill added five more in the second.
Nate Simon walked to lead off the inning. Whalen singled to put runners on first and third. McGuire walked to load the bases. Henne reached on an infield single to make it 4-0. Ahr then launched a homer to right field and extend the Griffins lead to 8-2.
McGuire tripled in a pair in the third inning and Ahr hit his second homer of the day, this one a solo shot to give SHU a 11-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
Nate Simon added a two RBI double as SHU led 13-2 in the fourth. Simon drew a bases loaded walk to make it 14-2 in the fifth.
Fetchik drove in two in the sixth with a single.
Mason Metz hit a grand slam to make it 25-5.
Ahr led the offense with 3 hits and 6 RBI. McGuire, Henne, Wheaton and Simon each had two hits in the contest. Metz drove in 5, Henne and Simon added 3 RBIs.
The Griffins will begin play in the PSAC Tourney on Thursday afternoon in Slippery Rock.
