Men's Lacrosse to Play for 2026 G-MAC Title

For the ninth consecutive time, Seton Hill will play in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship Match.  This season's matchup will be played in Greensburg with the Griffins hosting third seed Davenport.  Game time for the G-MAC final is set for 12 PM on Saturday.  

Live stats will be available for the game at the Seton Hill Sidearm Stats Page.  Live video from the Westmoreland Sports Network will also be available for the game on Saturday.  The game will be broadcast on FLO College.  Tickets for the events will be $15 for adults and $10 for seniors/students.  All G-MAC schools student are admitted free with an ID. Tickets will only be sold thru HUDL Ticketing.  

The Griffins claimed the top seed after a 10-0 regular season in conference play.  The Panthers finished conference play with a 8-2 mark.  SHU is 15-2 overall while the Panthers are 11-6.

SHU is 4-4 all time in G-MAC finals with the first seven contest being played against Mercyhurst.  SHU won the title at home in 2018.  SHU won in Erie in 2017 and 2022.  Last season the Griffins won their fourth G-MAC title with a win at home over Walsh.  

Seton Hill traveled to Michigan for a G-MAC matchup with Davenport on April 18th with the top spot in the G-MAC standings on the line.  The Griffins scored the final five goals of the contest as they defeated Davenport 12-6 in conference play.  Nate Herbster and Dexter Hannigan scored as the Griffins took a 2-0 lead with 6:05 left in the first.  Davenport scored with 28 seconds left to cut the SHU lead to 2-1.  Kaden Granberg and Herbster scored in the first four minutes of the second quarter as SHU pushed their lead to 4-1.  Davenport scored the final two goals of the half as they trimmed the SHU lead to 4-3 at the half.  Granberg and John Rebaudo IV scored to push the Griffin lead to 6-3 with 7:38 left.  Davenport scored two of the next three to trim the SHU lead to 7-5 after three quarters of play.  Davenport opened the scoring in the fourth as they cut the SHU lead to 7-6.  The Griffins then scored the final five goals of the contest to close out the win.  Herbster scored the first and Carter Green added the next two.  Granberg and Hannigan scored the final two goals.  Granberg led SHU with 4 goals.  Herbster added three goals.  Green finished with 2 goals and an assist.  Will Cody made 13 saves.  

Cody has a 14-2 record this season with a 6.56 goals against average.  He has made 176 saves.  Hannigan leads the Griffins with 48 goals and 57 points.  Carter Green leads the Griffins with 24 assists.  He added 16 goals.  Ryan McCann had 15 ground balls and 7 caused turnovers.  Granberg is fourth on the team with 27 goals.  He added 6 assists.  Cullen Green leads the Griffins with 24 caused turnovers.  He added 45 ground balls.  Austin Day was second with 22 caused turnovers.  He added 46 ground balls.    Carter Li is second on the team with 31 goals.  Herbster has added 29.  

Jayden Ashley leads the team with 75 goals and 95 points.  Luke Eichbauer is second with 49 goals and 69 points.  Charlie Fritz leads the team with 29 assists.  He has added 30 goals.  Logan Flaherty has won 66% of his faceoffs.  Tyler Burd leads with 29 caused turnovers.  Griffin Poll added 22 caused turnovers.  Poll has 72 ground balls.  Sean House is 7-6 in cage.  He has a 10.83 goals against and has made 189 saves.
